Tagbox is built around collaborative workspaces and collections, meaning that the content you upload is available to all members of that workspace or collection.

To make sure everything stays organized, we've added a simple roles & permissions scheme.

Account Owner

Owners sit above individual workspaces. An owner can do anything an admin can, in any workspace, plus two things nobody else can: see every workspace in the account, and change your plan and payment details.

An account can have more than one owner, and owners can appoint additional owners whenever they need to. If you created the account, you're already an owner - and if your account doesn't have one, email us at [email protected] and we'll sort it out.

Admin

The manager of the workspace. Typically your organization's managers, team leads, and anyone else who needs advanced access. Admins can invite new members, and to avoid duplicate or irrelevant tags piling up, only admins can create new tags. An organization can have multiple workspaces, with different admins for each one.

Admins and owners can create additional workspaces.

Editors

Editors are the regular users of the system. They can add new assets and tag them, but they can't create new tags or add users.

Viewers

Viewers can see and download everything in the system - filter for images, watch videos and so on - but they can't add new content or tag existing content.

Permissions: who can do what

Untitled

Editors can restore a version of a file only if they uploaded it themselves.
