Your media library is most useful when it shows up inside the tools you already work in. The Tagbox.io MCP connects your photos and videos to AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT, and to Slack, so they can search, tag, pull, and add to your library for you. This guide walks through connecting it to each one, step by step.
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI tools securely talk to apps like Tagbox.io. Think of it as a universal adapter: connect it once, and your assistant can work with your library directly, with no exporting, downloading, or copy-paste.

The MCP runs on the Tagbox.io API, available to Pro and Enterprise subscribers. If you haven't set up API access yet, start with our API guide.

Before connecting anything, grab your workspace's MCP URL. You'll paste this same URL into every tool below.

Your MCP URL contains your API key, so treat it like a password. Anyone who has it can reach your library. Don't post it anywhere public or share it outside your team.

The connection is scoped to your workspace and respects your existing permissions.
Works in Claude on the web and in Claude Desktop, on Free, Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans.
On Team and Enterprise plans, only a workspace Owner can add the connector for everyone. Once they do, each member clicks Connect to start using it.
