Guest Uploads let you collect files from anyone - without giving them access to your workspace. They’re perfect for gathering photos from photographers, event guests, clients, or your wider community. Each upload link can include preset tags, direct uploads into specific collections, and your own workspace branding.
Only admins can create guest upload links (this can be changed with custom permissions). You can create as many links as you need - for example, one per event, project, or photographer.
When uploading, guests are asked to enter their email address. This helps you identify who uploaded each file. The uploader automatically becomes the owner of the uploaded asset, so you can later filter or search by uploader name or email
How to Create a Guest Upload Link
You can create a guest upload link either from the Upload dropdown on the main page or from Settings → Guest Upload Links.
You’ll be able to set the following fields:
- Name – An internal label, visible only to your team. Use this to identify where the link belongs (e.g., “Spring Gala Photos” or “Product Launch UGC”).
- Description – Shown to uploaders when they open the link. It’s a good place to add instructions or context (e.g., “Please upload up to 10 photos of the event”).
- Destination – Uploaded files go to “Home” by default, but you can send them to a specific collection. Great for keeping projects organized.
- Tags – Automatically apply tags to all uploaded files. This is helpful for labeling incoming uploads (e.g., add a “For Review” or “Guest Upload” tag).
- Expiration Date – For security, you can make links expire after a chosen number of days. Expired links automatically stop accepting uploads.
Managing Links
From the same Settings → Guest Upload Links section, you can:
- View all active and expired links.
- Edit existing links (name, tags, destination, etc.).
- Add branding to your links - your logo (recommended 100x100) and cover image (recommended 1600x1600) appear on every guest upload page. Branding currently applies workspace-wide.
