Unlike other media management tools, Tagbox.io prides itself on supporting all types of content. There are three ways to add content to Tagbox.io:

Uploading files

You can upload all file types directly to your workspace, by clicking “Upload” or simply dragging and dropping them in your workspace. Your files will be securely stored and available to all workspace users from all devices. Note that free accounts have a storage limit (see our pricing page for more details).

Supported file formats

You can upload ALL file types to Tagbox.io. You can then organize them using tags and share with others. That said, not all files will have thumbnail preview and analysis.

Supported file extensions for preview & analysis:

Images: avif, bmp, eps, gif, heic, heif, ico, jfif, jpeg, jpg, mpeg, mpg, png, svg, tif, tiff, webp

Video: 3gp, avi, h264, m4v, mkv, mov, mp4, swf, vob, webm, wmv

Applications: ai, ps, psd

Changing the cover image

As mentioned above, we automatically add cover images to images, videos, and some editable files. However, you can manually add a cover image to other formats as well, e.g. PDFs. To do that, click the 3 dots next to the file in the main view, then “Change covver image”. Upload any photo under 10MB.

File de-duplication

One of the most annoying things about folder-based drive solutions, is that you end up having the same file in multiple folders, because different people wanted to find it in different ways. Working with tags, that’s no longer an issue - instead of duplicating the file, you can just add another tag to it!

Transitioning from folders to Tagbox.io? We’ve made it easy for you - we scan all uploaded files and look for duplicates, and if we find any - we just merge them together, making sure that all tags are in place.
