AI Visual Search lets you find content in Tagbox by describing what you're looking for visually - not just by file name or metadata. You can search across both images and videos using natural language or visual concepts.

How it works

When you type a query into the main search bar, Tagbox runs two searches simultaneously:

• Visual search - scans the actual content of your images and videos for visual matches
• Metadata search - looks through file names, descriptions, tags, and other fields

This means you don't need to choose between the two. A single search covers everything, so you're less likely to miss a file.

AI Visual Search is now available for video files, in addition to images.

When Tagbox finds a visual match inside a video, clicking on that video doesn't just open it - it takes you directly to the first position in the video where the match was found. You can also see where matches appear across the full video in two places:

• The timeline on the right side of the player
• The progress bar at the bottom of the video

This makes it easy to jump straight to the relevant moment without scrubbing through the entire clip.

Understanding match confidence (color coding)

Search results use color coding to indicate how strong each visual match is:

• Bright yellow - a strong, confident match. Tagbox is highly certain this content matches your query.
